چکیده

Premature birth is an important cause of neonatal mortality and morbidity. Most premature births are known to be induced by cytokines released for different reasons. Inadequate congenital immune response in infants may contribute increased susceptibility infection. The aim the study determine IL-1β, TLR4, PGE2, TAC profiles cord blood with characteristics specific pregnancy correlation complications caused birth. included 26 neonates, 11 girls 15 boys, born from 24-42 weeks gestation. Of these, 13 were term preterm . For IL-β, PG-E2, TLR4 levels, 1 mL sample was taken neonates. Data related demographic data, clinical status patients outcomes obtained electronic medical records files. Cytokine values neonates statistically high terms IL1 PGE2 compared infants. TRL4 necrotizing enterocolitis retinopathy prematurity lower those without NEC ROP. In spite negative correlations between other three cytokines, a significant not identified. negatively correlated weight gestational week, contrarily measurements positively week. Measurements cytokine concentrations among biomarkers showing degree inflammation assist predicting play effective role development treatments.

Association between umbilical cord blood laboratory findings with early onset neonatal sepsis

Backgrounds: Finding an efficient biomarker or combination of them as predictors of early-onset neonatal sepsis is very important. On the other hand, the use of umbilical cord blood samples in laboratory tests, along with its simplicity and availability, reflects neonate metabolic status.   Background and Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the association between umbilical cord bloo...

Effect of Ibuprofen on IL-1β, TNF-α and PGE2 Levels in Periapical Exudates: A Double Blinded Clinical Trial

Background: Bone resorption is one of the main features of inflammatory periapical lesions and is mainly mediated by interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factoralpha (TNF-α) and prostaglandin-E2 (PGE2). Recent investigations of these lesions revealed that pharmacological modulation may be possible. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of Ibuprofen on IL-1β, TNF-α an...

O2: Flaxseed Reduces Proinflammatory Factors IL-1β, IL-18 and TNF-α in Injured Spinal Cord Rat Model

The pathophysiology of acute spinal cord injury (SCI) involves primary and secondary mechanisms of injury. Secondary injury mechanisms include inflammation, oxidative stress. The secondary inflammation of spinal cord tissue after SCI was critical for the survival of motor neuron and functional recovery. Flaxseed is a rich source of lignan phytoestrogen, α-linolenic acid. Flaxseed has rema...

The Relationship between IL-1β-511 Polymorphism and Gastric Cancer in Ardabil Province, Iran

Background & objectives: Gastric cancer has a very wide geographic distribution. Identification of the genetic factors involved in the cancer predisposition is very important. IL-1β as a pro inflammatory cytokine is involved in gastric acid secretion in the H. pylori infected individuals. This study was aimed to evaluate the role of IL-1β-511 polymorphism on the susceptibility to gastric canc...

Differences in PGE2 Production between Primary Human Monocytes and Differentiated Macrophages: Role of IL-1β and TRIF/IRF3

Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is induced in vivo by bacterial products including TLR agonists. To determine whether PGE2 is induced directly or via IL-1β, human monocytes and macrophages were cultured with LPS or with Pam3CSK4 in presence of caspase-1 inhibitor, ZVAD, or IL-1R antagonist, Kineret. TLR agonists induced PGE2 in macrophages exclusively via IL-1β-independent mechanisms. In contrast, ZVAD...
